Based on the classic novel by Jules Verne with a few sea monsters, sentient amphibians and even a girl thrown in for Good Measure!

I went to this screening where you mentioned the Czech version in Technicolor. Thought you might be interested to know that that version was shown at the Pordenone Silent Film Festival a few days ago. My boyfriend was there and reported back.
Wow that is cool! Was the soundtrack intact I wonder, we had to use the public domain silent black and white version which was still well worth it given that it hadn't screened in Boston in some eighty five years.
